Raindrop Technique

What is Raindrop Technique?

Raindrop Technique (RT) is a 1 hour spa like treatment using essential oils (dropped like rain) along with massage and moist heat to promote a sense of well being.

Raindrop Technique is a powerful, non-invasive treatment that utilizes the antiviral, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory action of specific essential oils.

The Mini Raindrop

Is a shortened version of the Raindrop Technique working with either the Feet or the Spine (your choice) and a 5-10 min neck massage. No moist heat is applied using this technique.

Application:

Oils are applied first to the feet using the Vita Flex Technique. Second, the oils are applied along the spine of the back using a series of specific massage techniques which is followed by a moist heat compress and ending with a 10-15 minute neck and shoulder massage.

Tips:

  • Take the day to relax.
  • It’s recommended to leave the oils on for 24 hours to get their full benefit.
  • Drink plenty of water.
  • Think about journaling any experiences.

About Essential Oils:

Essential oils are aromatic volatile liquids distilled from shrubs, flowers, trees, roots, and seeds.

They are some of the most powerful inhibitors of microbes known. But, Not all essential oils are the same!

Essential Oils are complex and made up of many chemical constituents. The quantity, quality and type of these chemical compounds vary, depending on many factors.

The purity of an essential oil is based on these chemical compounds which in turn lend an oil their therapeutic properties such as being antimicrobial, antifungal, antiviral, antitumoral, antiparasitic, antiseptic, antibacterial etc.

Therapeutic grade EO preserve as many of these delicate compounds as possible.

How did the Raindrop Technique come about?

Gary Young, ND developed the Raindrop Technique in the 1980’s, based on his research with essential oils, their antimicrobial agents, his knowledge of reflex points, and his influence with the Lakota Indians in South Dakota.
